This image is a test of Jaime Vives Piqueres system which enrich heightfields maps with fractal noise on cliffs and rocks. Source code is available for download on its site, which is really worth the trip: Heightfield-based Isosurfaces (hf2iso.pov)
In this picture my only real personal interventions are creating the image file topography and fine positioning of the camera. I think the result really amazing.
